Eulogies for autumn
In the spring of 2008, while exploring & learning how to print on a Heidelberg Press, I had a rare occasion to create a tour poster. I had created a plethora of band/tour posters before this point however I hadn’t had the availability of producing the posters themselves by fully operating an antique press with letterpress blocks & an original relief illustration. My friend’s in Eulogies for Autumn capitalized this availability.
Jason Miles, guitarist for Eulogies for Autumn, came through with the concept of “is there an afterlife for scarecrows?” The similarities of an erected scarecrow to the crucified Jesus Christ came to me immediately. They loved the initial sketch & gave the thumbs up only after insisting on using it as a tour poster. So I added negative space under their name for them to post dates/locations/times for upcoming shows.
Limited run of 60 prints on two different color stocks.

Kiss impressions represent Eulogies for Autumn's down to Earth authenticity & signifies the craftsmanship of their sound. The small imperfections left behind by the antique wood type elevates the poster beyond just another band advertisement into a sought after collectable for fans.
